Quotes

Me? I'm a quote person. I love quotes! And the smart people who say them give me things to focus on when my mind needs to slow down and think but is going a million miles an hour, or when I've had a hard day (or week...or more), or when I need a good laugh. Really, I just like quotes.

So I've decided to post ten of my favorites (in addition to the ones at the bottom of my blog):

1. "Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

2. “If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
- Winston Churchill

3.
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we took so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened up for us”
- Helen Keller

4.
“You have to ‘Be’ before you can ‘Do’ and ‘Do’ before you can ‘Have’.
- Zig Ziglar

5.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
- Mahatma Gandhi

6.
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom.”
- Earl Shoaf

7. "If at first you do succeed, try something harder!"
- Unknown

8. "You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself into one."
- Henry David Threau

9. "The best way to prepare to live life is to begin to live it."
-Unknown

10. "What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?"
- Vincent van Gogh
