Update!!

Just some lovely updates for you (because I know you are all SO curious)...

1. I finished all my finals for the semester this morning (wahoo!)

2. I get to do a training at CLAS Ropes Course later this week (4 days of fun on the ropes course!)

3. Matt is leaving to New Mexico on Thursday for a few days :(
...I'll probably spend a lot of time with wedding plans or with my family

4. Apartment searching for couples is very difficult in Provo
(If you have any connections or suggestions, please let me know!)

5. I get to plan the wedding without stressing about having to focus on school too
(at least for this week - next week starts Spring Term classes, which I'm taking)

6. I found my wedding dress! And bought my shoes!

Both of which, I think Matt will like :)

Anyways, I hope you have a great day (and good luck with your finals/classes/work/other endeavors)

Guess Who's Engaged?!?!?!?!

Well...guess.... :) Haha Matt and I are engaged (since Tuesday - sorry it took me so long, it's been busy). - I bet you never guessed that one right? :)

Story time? :)

So, once upon a lovely Tuesday, a very handsome man slyly convinced his lucky girlfriend to ditch her classes and head up with him to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens since it was the only day of the week that would be good weather (and it would not be crowded on such a random morning). So this girl thought it over, and agreed to travel the long distance to the beautiful, far away gardens with the man she loves. However, she did have one condition: that he let her do her presentation in her first class that day before leaving.

He agreed to this condition, and traversed the BYU campus with her (how very very sweet of him) to her class to watch her 10-minute (ish) presentation before leaving the exotic Provo area.

P.S. This very excited girl was deeply hoping that her man would propose on this venture since her patience had been worked on for so long :) However, she really didn't believe he would since he had mentioned that he would need to purchase a ring and talk to her father (scary).

As they made their way to Lehi, they passed through the green territory of the Wolverines and onto the slow areas of the orange construction people, passed the roaring semi-trucks and the glaring billboards until they made it to their exit with much relief. After they entered the territory of the Lehi-ites, the driver (Matt) got slightly "lost" with a wrong turn and had to take a venture through the tall buildings of the full-time working people in their black suits and ties before they were on the right path again. With the last marker close, the two finally passed the green hilly land of the club swingers before they made it to their stop: a nice, nearly empty parking lot in front of the Gardens.

They found their way into the Garden gates, after they had to pay off the gate guard lady, and began to enter the bridge-y land filled with wonderful waterfalls. Yet their hardships were not yet over; as they were entering this pristine area, the amazing man's cellular device began to vibrate with anger. One Tony Erickson was in dire need of information and Matt had to respond as quickly as possible - distracting him from the precious alone time the two had in the beautiful waterfall area. After a few texts from this Tony, young Cosette was beginning to become annoyed with this boy 'from the ward' who insisted on receiving information immediately (this is normal for Matt since he is the Executive Secretary and schedules all meetings with the bishop). Marvellous Matt apologized over and over, but stated that this was in need of immediate responses....so his impatient girlfriend tried to relax and enjoy the serene nature of their surroundings with only a half-aware boyfriend.

Finally! Mr. Tony appeared to be through with his questioning and the wonderful man could precede, with full attention, on the date. They wandered around a bit, but found their way to the gorgeous Secret Garden within the 15 gardens of Thanksgiving Point. They walked alone on the path under the tunnel of foliage and entered the right wooden door (as opposed to the left one) and found their way to the flower bed under the pillars.

They talked about the flowers and the waterfalls, and after a brief pause in the conversation, the fabulous boyfriend says, "So I have a very important question to ask you." Poor man, his very distracted girlfriend didn't take him as seriously as one would have thought, and let herself get distracted by the idea of summer, which was held in a lovely strip of blue sky directly between the mountains and clouds in the direction she was facing. In response, this crazy girl cried excitedly, "the sky is blue!" uhhhh.....?? With only a slight hesitation at her sudden A.D.D., he again states, "I have a very important question for you," and this time, instead of waiting for another off-the-wall response, he begins to lower himself to the ground.

This definitely caught her attention!! As she turns to see what her man is doing, with only partial recognition of what is going on... and still slightly stunned and in unbelief of what her subconscious is telling her... she turns fully to him and sees that his is on one knee and is pulling a box out of his pocket. He gently opens the box to reveal a jewel sparkling in the sunlight and says something that takes a moment for his girl to 'translate.' Before she even registered what he had verbally asked, she gave him a big hug (apparently almost nocking him over) and exclaimed, "Yes!"

Almost as she said it, she heard, Click, and immediately thought, "dad is here," and began laughing in shear joy at the perfection of this moment her fiance had planned out for her :)

For the rest of the day, neither man nor girl could focus on anything but the excitement of what would come on June 10th, just 2 months and 5 days later. Neither went to any of their classes that day, and both found a way out of work. They laughed, smiled tons, told the story a million times, found some time alone, and had a very joyous day.

The two are currently 61 days to go until they may enter the beautiful temple of their dreams (Oquirrh Mountain) and be sealed for time and all eternity. :)

To be continued...
